Salt Lake City — Photographer & Researcher
For most of a career in academic medical research, the camera was the counterweight — a way of paying close attention to something other than data. Decades of images now fill an archive: birds caught mid-motion, coastlines, and the buildings and cities along the way.
This is a home for that archive, starting with the photography, and gradually making room for the other things that have held my attention just as long — southern Utah, music, and science.
Organized by year, location and roughly the order they were taken.
Red rock, canyon light, and a landscape I keep returning to.
PlaceNotes and images from the places along the way.
SoundA lifelong rock and roll habit.
IdeasReflections from a career spent in the field.
